Mr Shen Hao
Shen Hao holds a Bachelor of Management in Auditing Degree from Nanjing Institute of Auditing, China. He worked for Sinosteel Corporation – Beijing in the Overseas Dept. of Financial & Assets Division from July 2004 to December 2006. He then moved to Tubatse Chrome (Pty) Ltd (South Africa) from January 2007 to May 2013, where he worked as a Financial Controller. From May 2013 to July 2022 he moved to Sinosteel South Africa (Pty) Ltd where he worked as Financial Controller/Vice General Manager. In July 2022 he was promoted to Director and Vice General Manager. In July 2022 he was also appointed Managing Director for both Tubatse Alloy (Pty) Ltd and Tubatse Ferrochrome. In October 2024, he was appointed Executive Chairman for Zimasco (Pvt) Ltd, Zimbabwe.
John Musekiwa
John holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He started his career in January 1985 with KPMG Peat Marwick as a trainee Chartered Accountant. He then moved to Kiwi Brands in October 1988 where he was appointed Finance Director/Company Secretary. John joined Zimasco as an Administration and MIS Manager in February 1998, a post he held until January 2002. For the next 10 years, he held various general management positions within the organisation: General Manager Alloy Production and Processing (February 2002 to February 2003), General Manager Planning, (March 2003 to September 2005), General Manager Administration (October 2005 to March 2008) and General Manager Finance (April 2008 to July 2013). In August 2013 he was appointed Commercial Director before being appointed Chief Executive Officer from April 2016.
Namatai Mapfumo
Namatai holds a BSc Honours Mining Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe and Masters in Strategic Management from Chinhoyi University of Technology. He started his mining career with Bindura Nickel Corporation in January 1992 at Trojan Nickel Mine as a graduate trainee. He was appointed to Technical Assistant (March 1994 – February 1996) then promoted to Shift Boss (March 1996 to April 1996). In May 1996 he left BNC to join Buchwa Iron Mining Company (BIMCO) as Mine Captain for the Buchwa West Pit in Zvishavane. In March 1997 he was promoted to the position of Production Mining Engineer for the Limestone Mine in Redcliff. In April of 1998 he was further promoted to the position of Pit Superintendent before being appointed Mine. Manager for the Limestone Mine in October 2000 and held this position until July 2006. He joined Zimasco in August 2006 as Manager Middle Dyke and was later transferred to Shurugwi Division in October 2006 as Surface Mines Manager. He was transferred from Shurugwi to Kwekwe Division as Business Value Planning Manager in January 2008. Namatai moved in acting capacity to the position of General Manager North and Middle Dyke in September 2010 before being substantively appointed to the position in February 2011. In August 2013 he was appointed to the position of General Manager Mining. In April 2018 he was appointed General Manager Smelter (Kwekwe Division). In March 2022 he was appointed Chief Operations Officer.
Xingyu Wu
Xingyu holds a Bachelor’s degree of Management from Renmin University of China obtained in July 2006. He joined the Finance & Asset Department of Sinosteel Group as part of the Financial Staff from July 2006 to August 2008. He then transferred to Sinosteel Phillipines Co Ltd, Inc. where he worked as Financial Manager from September 2008 to August 2013. From September 2013 to May 2021 he worked for Sinosteel Indonesia as Financial Manager. In June 2021 to October 2022 he was Financial Controller for Tubatse Chrome (Pty) Ltd and also Senior Manager for Sinosteel Mauritius Holdings Limited while based in South Africa. In November 2022 he was appointed Chief Finance Officer for Zimasco Private Limited.
Sylvester Baipai
Sylvester holds a BSc Honors Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe, Diploma in Personnel Management and a Trainer Development Diploma. He is a chartered human resources practitioner and a fellow member of the Institute of Personnel Management Zimbabwe (IPMZ). He joined Zimasco in January 1992 as Graduate Trainee – Human Resources and was promoted to Assistant Human Resource Officer in January 1994. Sylvester was further promoted to Human Resources Officer in August 1994, a position he held until December 1998. He was also promoted to the positions of Training & Development Manager (January 1999 – April 2002) and Capability Development Manager (May 2002 – September 2006), a position he held until his appointment in October 2006 to his present position
Martin Mharadze
Martin holds a Bachelor of Commerce Logistics degree from UNISA (South Africa), Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Diploma (CIPS), UK and a Masters in Strategic Management from Chinhoyi University of Technology. He started his career with Lancashire Steel as a Stores Clerk (1990-1993),where he further held the following positions Stores Costing Clerk (1993-1995), Costing Supervisor (1995-1998) and finishing his stint with Lancashire as Senior Buyer (1998-2001). He then joined Zimasco as Purchasing Officer (2001-2002) and promoted to the following positions, Inventory Manager (2002-2004), Procurement Manager (2004-2009), Group Procurement Manager (2009-2014), Sales & Logistics Manager (2014-2015), General Manager – Marketing (2015-2016) and Group Procurement Manager (2016-2020). In 2021 he was promoted to the current position of General Manager – Supplies.
Ngonidzashe Mpofu
Ngoni holds a B Comm Accounting (Hons) degree from NUST and a B Compt Accounting (Hons) from UNISA (South Africa). He also holds a Zimbabwe Certificate in Theory of Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe. Ngoni started his career with Deloitte where he progressed to become an Audit Supervisor (2000-2003), before joining Zimasco as an Operations Accountant (2003-2004). He was to later also occupy the following positions in Zimasco, Corporate Finance Manager (2004-2008), Group Financial Controller (2008-2017), Financial Planning and Analysis (2017-2022), Business Options Executive (2022-2023). In November 2023 he was promoted to the position of General Manager – Audit & Risk and later moved to the position of General Manager – Finance in May 2024.
Pindukayi Musarandega
Pindukayi Musarandega holds a BSc Honours Mining Engineering and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of Zimbabwe. He also has a Zimbabwe Government Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. Pindukayi did his post graduate leanership training in 2007 with Buchwa Iron Mining Company (BIMCO), the Mining Division of Ziscosteel, before joining Zimasco in January 2008 as a Mine Foreman. From then on he held several other positions within the organization which included Pit Superintendent (September 2008 to June 2009), Mining Contracts Manager (July 2009 to February 2014), South Dyke Manager (March 2014 to March 2018), Head – Mining Operations (April 2018 to December 2019), and General Manager – Mining (January 2020 to December 2023). He was appointed to his current role of General Manager – Smelter in January 2024.
Reuben Zengeni
Reuben holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Applied Chemistry from National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from University of Zimbabwe (UZ). He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Institute of Marketing Management (IMM). He joined Zimasco in 1999 as a Chemist Graduate Trainee after which he was promoted to Analytical Chemist on completion and then to Laboratory Manager in 2005. He held several Middle Management positions at the Zimasco Kwekwe Division, namely, Alloy Processing and Recovery Manager, Alloy Production Manager, Raw Materials Manager. In 2020, he was promoted to Sales and Marketing Manager, the position he held before being promoted General Manager Marketing in April 2024.
Bright Chitiki
Bright holds a BSc Honours Geography & Environmental Studies degree from the Zimbabwe Open University. He started his working career with Zimasco in 1988 as an Industrial Hygiene Officer. He then moved to BHP where he worked as a Senior SHE Advisor from 1995 to 1999. He was then to move to Boarder Timbers where he worked as a Group SHE Officer from 2000 to 2001. In 2002 he joined Mimosa Mining Company as SHE Superintendent. In 2004 he returned to Zimasco at its Kwekwe division as a SHE Manager. He was promoted in 2017 to Group Head SHE & Quality Assurance. He was further promoted in March 2022 to General Manager Smelter. In January 2024, he was appointed to his current role as General Manager – Mining.
