Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome production, has an exciting and challenging career opportunity at its Smelting Division.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the vacant position of a Raw Materials Sampler on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to performance:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 `O` Level passes including English and Mathematics
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a mining, smelting or heavy industry environment
- Goal-getter with self-drive
- Highly commendable Safety and Disciplinary Record
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Safely collect representative samples of incoming Zimasco and SPV raw materials
- Safely collect representative samples of all Zimasco-to-SPV raw material transfers
- Stockpile sampling
- Automatic sampling using Auto Sampling Plant Unit
- Submission and logging of all samples submitted to the Laboratory
- Auto Sampling Plant housekeeping and general plant housekeeping
- Participate in monitoring and enforcement of adherence to the SHE policies and procedures
