Martin holds a Bachelor of Commerce Logistics degree from UNISA (South Africa), Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Diploma (CIPS), UK and a Masters in Strategic Management from Chinhoyi University of Technology. He started his career with Lancashire Steel as a Stores Clerk (1990-1993) where he further held the following positions Stores Costing Clerk (1993-1995), Costing Supervisor (1995-1998) and finishing his stint with Lancashire as Senior Buyer (1998-2001). He then joined Zimasco as Purchasing Officer (2001-2002) and promoted to the following positions, Inventory Manager (2002-2004), Procurement Manager (2004-2009), Group Procurement Manager (2009-2014), Sales & Logistics Manager (2014-2015), General Manager – Marketing (2015-2016) and Group Procurement Manager (2016-2020). In 2021 he was promoted to the current position of General Manager – Supplies.
